It is what our member companies and their employees are everyday; from making essential products used worldwide to volunteering in the community.
With over $40 billion in announced projects in the region and over 50 percent of the region’s current employee base retiring over the next few years, filling the pipeline of prospective employees with certified and skilled workers is imperative.
Supporting the Workforce
The EHCMA Workforce Development Golf Tournament has donated more than $400,000 in its first two years to Lee and San Jacinto Colleges to fund scholarships and other support for craft and process technology programs. These funds will play a crucial role in enabling students to enroll in programs that provide the education and training needed to fill positions in the construction and process industries.
This year, the 3rd Annual Workforce Development Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Wildcat Golf Club and will be headed by Prentice Wilson, who is the 2016 Workforce Development Golf tournament Committee Chair.
