Dear EHCMA Member:
As part of our industry’s commitment to safety, EHCMA supports the Texas A&M and San Jacinto College collaboration on a process safety training program. We encourage you to provide feedback that helps align the program to industry needs.
The Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center (MKOPSC) at Texas A&M University and LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, & Technology (CPET) at San Jacinto College are taking initiatives to develop a Process Safety training program for operators/ supervisors/ engineers working in the Chemical and Energy industries. The proposed program includes four courses: Introduction to Process Safety, Introduction to Risk Management, Fire Protection and Emergency Response, and Industrial Safety and Technical Fundamentals.
MKOPSC & CPET have developed a survey to understand the potential interest in the greater Houston area. It will also help them cater the program to the needs of industry. Please respond to this brief survey by October 1. The data will be reviewed at the October 8 annual TCC meeting.
Be safe & stay healthy,
