San Jacinto College invites the community to attend the 2023 Mind Trekkers Adventures in STEM Family Night on Thursday, March 9 from 6 – 8 PM at the San Jacinto College Central Campus in Pasadena. This free event is supported by the San Jacinto College STEM Council.
The Mind Trekkers Adventures in STEM festival features over 100 hands-on experiments related to STEM fields, with volunteers from San Jacinto College faculty and students, and representatives from industry partners and sponsors, on hand to assist attendees with each experiment. Past experiments have included skewering balloons, DNA extraction, musical fruit, robotics and making slime.
The STEM Council at San Jacinto College strives to increase awareness of education and career opportunities related to the fields of science, technology, engineering and Math (STEM) by sponsoring activities throughout the College and the region, as Houston ranks among the top ten cities for STEM careers.
