More than 160 people registered for the 2022 East Harris County Manufacturers Association Annual Meeting on Thursday, December 8, at the Sylvan Beach Pavilion. Keynote speaker Mitchell Toomey, Vice President, Sustainability and Responsible Care® for the American Chemistry Council, spoke about the value of industry and importance of community engagement and support, while EHCMA Board members, led by Board Chair Rod Herrick, covered 2022 accomplishments and 2023 priorities. The 2023 – 2024 EHCMA Board slate was approved by a quorum of members and Monty Heins, Dow, was announced as the incoming Board Chair. The program concluded with a standing ovation for the recipient of the EHCMA’s Exceptional Partner Award: Diane Sheridan, longtime community advisory panel facilitator who is slated to retire after 32 years of service.
