EHCMA Map Project With Key Maps
EHCMA's Community Emergency Communications Committee (CECC) and its Map Project Work Group hired Key Maps, Inc. to produce several custom, copyrighted Key Maps. Each of the following maps show the locations of all 125 EHCMA member facilities in east Harris County (as of March 2008):
- The EHCMA LEPC Boundaries Map is a 47"x40" wall map that shows the new LEPC boundaries approved in 2008 by the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the individual LEPCs. Some LEPC boundaries (such as Houston, North Channel, and Baytown) extend beyond the dimensions of this east Harris County map. Four (4) copies of this map were provided FREE to all EHCMA member facilities and city/county Offices of Emergency Management in east Harris County.
- The EHCMA Outreach/Odor Network Boundaries Map is a 47"x40" wall map that shows the new EHCMA Outreach Area boundaries and Odor Network Zones developed after the Map Project Work Group received input from CAP facilitators, CECC members, Odor Network, and Outreach Committee members. One (1) FREE map was provided to each EHCMA Odor Network Dispatch Center listed in the top left-hand corner of the map. A list of all EHCMA member facilities within each EHCMA Outreach Area is provided in the bottom right-hand corner of the map.
- The EHCMA LEPC Boundaries Field Atlas is an 11"x17" spiral-bound book with laminated pages showing the new 2008 LEPC boundaries. Emergency responders and plant personnel can use a wet-erase marker to mark plume models, road closures, or Shelter In Place boundaries on this Field Atlas designed for use "in the field" or Command Van. EHCMA members and city/county OEMs can purchase the Field Atlas from Key Maps for $150 per copy (plus tax & shipping).
- The EHCMA Multilayer Electronic Map (E-Map) is a FREE digital map that you can view and print from your own computer. First, you must download and install the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 (or higher) on your computer. Second, you should download, save, and print the Instructions for E-map. Third, you should download and save the current version of E-map which will allow you to turn on or off E-Map's multiple layers of various boundaries: Base Map (City/County boundaries), CIMA Zones, EHCMA Member Plants, EHCMA Odor Network Zones, EHCMA Outreach Areas, LEPC boundaries, School Districts, and Zip Code boundaries. You can zoom in/out to view any facility, then print a map on your printer with various layers you've selected. Just follow the Instructions which contain screen shots of each step.
